Mining is the skill of gathering metals and ores, often leveled through Surveying.
In-Game Description
Digging metals and ores out of the ground.
Training
* Mining is learned through Surveying, taught by Jaime Fatholm.

* Urzab in Ilmari unlocks levels 51-60 and 61-70, and teaches some higher level mining surveys.
Connected Skills
Sub-Skills:
* None
Secondary Skills:
* Surveying - Used to create Serbule Hills Simple Mining Survey and other Mining Surveys.

* Geology - While Mining is leveled from collecting metal and ores, Geology is raised through the collection of gemstones.
Related Skills:
* Blacksmithing - Many blacksmiths will find it useful to have a steady supply of metal from Mining.
Synergy Levels:
Bonus Synergy Levels for Mining can be obtained from the following skills and levels:
Mining Nodes
Across Alharth, mining nodes can be discovered and mined for ores, gemstones, and metal. In Rahu, a prisoner-staffed quarry holds many nodes of various levels. Most types of Ore can be collected there.
Motherlode maps are more difficult than normal surveys, but give much greater rewards. When you use them, no red dot will appear on your minimap, and won't be given the exact location. You'll only be told the distance to the motherlode. If you're 1000 meters away, the motherlode could be on any point in the 1000-radius circle around you. When you find the motherlode, you'll often be rewarded with 15-30 metal slabs, ores, and other rewards.
Overview
Necromancy is a combat skill that focuses on creating undead and wielding dark magic. Most necromantic abilities will do no damage to undead enemies. Necromancers must have an item with a "Necromancy Gem" equipped, and they usually have to be in a graveyard to summon skeletons.

All skeleton-summon abilities besides Free-Summon Skeletal Archer require a Femur (Free-Summon requires a Humanoid skull). It is unknown if Necromancy will gain the ability to free-summon other types of skeletons in the future. For now, the normal summon requires the player to be in a graveyard. There are certain "designated" graveyards (examples are the main entrance of Serbule Crypt, Eltibule Crypt), but otherwise a "graveyard" is any area with at least 3 player tombstones in close proximity. Once summoned, skeleton minions will be resummoned when you move to a different zone, but if they die they are gone until resummoned at a graveyard.

In-Game Description
Necromancy is control over the undead, along with other powers that trifle with mortality. To use necromantic abilities, you must be wielding or wearing a necromancy gem. You can often find these on weapons, and less often on pieces of armor. (If you are in a beast form, necromancy gems in weapons won't work, but ones in armor will.)

Training
* The skill is learned by going into the Serbule Crypt, defeating Khyrulek's True Form and delivering an item from the boss's drops to the Pulsing Crystal. When you do this, you will be given a "Necromancy Test Staff" and a "Necromancy Test Necklace". Both have necromancy gems in them, so you can choose one to equip and start using Necromancy.

* Sir Arif teaches Free Summon Skeletal Archer 1-3

* Jumjab teaches Create Super Zombie 1-3, Heart's Power 1-2, Wave of Darkness 1-4 (pending confirmation)

* You can learn Spleen's Power from scrolls

* Daniel Murderdark will unlock Necromancy 51-60, unlock 61-70, and teach level 51+ abilities
* Zeratak will trade you a Necromancer's training staff for 4 brain bug lobes and 3 brains
I will explain it as my father did to me. Most magic items are powered by a weird substance called Phlogiston. This is what gives them their magic power. But the substance is invisible and undetectable... unless you know the trick I just taught you. Now you can magically boil down an item into its raw phlogiston!
; Nice! And what do I do with the phlogiston?
When you have practiced enough, you can use that table over there to change the enchantments on a magic item. You will pour raw phlogiston onto the item and change its properties. Unfortunately the only technique I've mastered is somewhat... random. I can choose an enchantment on an item and then twist it to do something else, but I don't have much control over what the new enchantment does.
; So this lets me randomly change an enchantment on a magic item?
Yes, if you don't like the results, you can always try again, as long as you have enough phlogiston of the appropriate quality... and as long as the item is still in good enough shape.
; Wait, so Transmutation damages the item?
It's not physical damage, no. The item will be fine. But there's a limit to the number of times an item can be Transmuted before its innate power is too weak to try again.
That depends, but typically four or five. However, I've recently mastered another technique... one that can repair the Transmutation damage and let you further alter the item.
"At first I assumed she used alchemy, but no: my detection runes would have alerted me to that. After interrogation, the truth is even more embarrasing: she used a primitive science called 'Mycology.' I have transcribed her method below, and will study it more carefully when time permits."
}}

Mycology is a skill that is raised by gathering mushrooms. It gives access to a variety of recipes for the creation of Spore Bombs, Potions. Mushrooms are also useful in Cooking and Alchemy recipes.

Training
Mycology is first learned on Anagoge Island by picking mushrooms or piles of dirt off of the ground. The first recipe, Parasol Mushroom Flakes, is learned by studying an Alchemy book Basics of Alchemy. The book may be found in Elmetaph's bookcase in the lighthouse, or on the second level of the Anagoge Records Facility.

Another Mycology recipe is also found in the Anagoge Records Facility, on the first level. On a pedestal in a room containing several mushrooms, rest the Proctor's Journals. If the player chooses to Study the Details they can learn the recipe for Basic Spore Bombs.

Recipes can be bought from Mushroom Jack in Serbule town, Charles Thompson in a tent west of Serbule, Voo in the Myconian Cave, and Yagreet in Sun Vale.

Levels 51-60 and 61-70 can be trained by Hemmit Magmagrip in New Prestonbule Cave.

Harvestables
Nearly every mushroom can be found in the Myconian Cave, so only alternate locations will be listed here.
How to Learn
Mycology is usually acquired early on around Anagoge Island by gathering a patch of Parasol Mushrooms. The skill continues to raise afterwards as you gather various kinds of mushrooms. New players will likely encounter higher tiers of Mushrooms first in the town of Serbule. There are a few patches around the barn which will require higher skill level.
