* Gems are used in various crafting recipes to create Enchanted equipment. They are placed into the Primary Crystal and Secondary Crystal slots as a method to determine what skills equipment will have when crafted.
* Many NPCs like minerals as favor. Some will prefer specific gems, some will like colors categories, and a few will accept any of them.
* Blue Mineral Surveys leading to Amethysts [[Amethyst]]s and Green Mineral Surveys leading to [[Aquamarine]]s are quite popular due to their use in [[Teleportation]].
