*<span style=color:#ff4><b>Legendary ff4</b></span> -- This one looks okay if the yellow (red/green) component is at least a d, but looks better with an e; greying it out a little (adding some blue) seems to help also.

*<span style=color:#0ff><b>Rare 0ff</b></span> -- This cyan also seems to like being brighter against the tan bg, relative to its preferred brightness on white. Here again a d is maybe ok, though i really wouldn't want to go less than an e for the b/g.*<span style=color:#bfb><b>Uncommon bfb</b></span> -- Here an e looks like too much for the g component, though adding some grey (r/b) makes this palatable (pardon the pun). 8e8 looks pretty decent, while 0e0 is rather garish. I thought simply toning down the green (something like 0c0 might also be ok, but it's not working for me.
