The art of dying.

Dying is the skill of being killed. 10 experience is gained on each death along with an additional 50 for dying in a way that has not been done before by the player:

(Earned 50 Death XP)
(Bonus XP! First Death From This Cause!)

With sufficient experience a new choice appears when you die "enter the light" which lets you chose one of several places to respawn to ("new death action" unlocked at level 10?).

Common ways to die

Here are a few examples of "cause" of death as displayed in game:

Electrocuted (eg. from spells cast by Goblin War Casters)
Killed by an aberration
Mauled by a wild animal
Punched to death (eg. from a Trained Crushing Bear in Goblin Dungeon)
