A gem which has been improved with [[Winterprize]] via a [[Geology]] recipe, which can be learned from [[Fazzi]] in the [[Winter Nexus]].
Maximized gems are used to create max-enchanted equipment, which has one more mod than a standard crafted piece of gear. (E.g. a yellow max-enchanted piece of equipment will have 6 mods instead of 5.) Note that not all max-enchanted equipment requires a maximized gem. Other crafting materials commonly used in the creation of max-enchanted equipment include [[Glowy Yellow Crystal]]s and [[Vervadium]].
