What are War Caches?There's a bunch of bunkers in this desert, buried beneath the sand. We call 'em "War Caches." They were made by Crone Hegemony forces during the Rahu wars, and lots of 'em are still full of military equipment. The caches are usually hidden, but sometimes the sandstorms expose one for a bit. I've hired a bunch of bandits to search for 'em. When they find a location, I buy the intel from them. Then my Seer gets to work.; Your Seer?Yeah. Sorry, I'm not supposed to use her real name. She's just "[[The Sand Seer]]," all mysterious. Anyways, when we get a location, she does some scrying for me, looking for a special kind of metal called xedrite. Not normal garbage xedrite, though. I'm looking for Weaponized Xedrite. Metal with incredible magical properties. So that's the job: when we find a location with Weaponized Xedrite, we send you in to get it.; What's the pay?Well, that's a bit complicated. See, I'm collecting this metal on behalf of the Council, but I didn't really receive much of a budget. It's a long story. So I can't pay much in Councils, but I've got some top-notch magical equipment! Well... I'll save the details for my memoirs, I guess. Suffice it so say that we'd recently found a Cloak of Disguise that could make you look like a donkey. And ogres are dumb as shit. I'm sure you can figure out the rest.
