Speed Bonus
Tip: A common technique for running multiple surveys is to sort the maps by the "quadrant" they're in on the map, and then run through each quadrant! Another helpful technique can be to mark the (closest) survey destinations with a Pin (Point of Interest dot) on the map; Once you are close to the dot you can right click the surveys to see if you are close enough. (Note be sure to remove the Pin after you collected the survey).

Using A Motherlode Map
Motherlode maps are more difficult than normal surveys, but give much greater rewards. When you use them, no red dot will appear on your minimap, and won't be given the exact location. You'll only be told the distance to the motherlode. If you're 1000 meters away, the motherlode could be on any point in the 1000-radius circle around you. When you find the motherlode, you'll be rewarded with 15-30 slabs.
Speed Bonus
For Serbule and Eltibule, the timer is randomly chosen from a number between 1.5-3.5 minutes. In Kur, it's 2.5-4.5.

Mining Speed Bonuses
*Eltibule Good Mining Survey: Masterwork Metal Slab, Good Metal Slab, Basic Metal Slab, Simple Metal Slab, Copper Ore, Gold Nugget, Flinty Rock, Tungsten, Pyrite, Fire Dust

Mineral Speed Bonuses
For mineral (gem) maps, the speed bonus is determined by location

Motherlode bonus ores
When you complete a motherlode survey you will receive slabs plus a bonus of a small amount of ore, slabs, dust, or other materials. The following table shows which materials you are likely to receive, arranged approximately from most likely to least likely.
