Welcome
==Welcome==Welcome, and thanks for helping out :)--[[User:Gorgonzola|Gorgonzola]] ([[User talk:Gorgonzola|talk]]) 11:08, 29 September 2014 (CDT)
Btw, I meant to say thanks for the [[Sanja]] and [[Jace Soral]] additions, really nice! Hmm this just got me thinking, would it make sense to have a category for Beast friendly NPCs? We could pull a list with DPL tag on the beast form pages. Though I don't know myself if beast friendly NPCs talk to all beasts or only certain kinds. --[[User:Gorgonzola|Gorgonzola]] ([[User talk:Gorgonzola|talk]]) 05:15, 12 October 2014 (CDT) :It isn't uniform between them. For example, I know that Mushroom Jack, the Hogan'About categoriess Keep goblins, Azalak, etc. all speak to all beast form players, however Suspicious Cow only speaks to Deer, Pigs, and Cows, and I'm fairly certain Sanja only speaks to Wolves (It was full moon when I last spoke to her, so I couldn't check). No doubt there are other exceptions I haven't found yet. [[User:Karunama|Karunama]] ([[User talk:Karunama|talk]]) 15:39, 12 October 2014 (CDT) ==Categories==Note that categories like "Mushrooms" may limit our ability later to index various item types, but that depends on how much is really worthwhile to index. To be honest I did the "Likes" categories mostly to learn how they work. Atm I usually just "/wiki spoons" for example, and the wiki search will give me the relevant NPCs due to the text search. So atm I just don't know what is going to be the use for them, but I am not at all experienced in MediaWiki so maybe I am missing something. One idea in the longer term would be to add little icons next to the items in the "Small Talk" section, and clicking those will go to the category page, showing other NPCs that like the similar item. --[[User:Gorgonzola|Gorgonzola]] ([[User talk:Gorgonzola|talk]]) 08:44, 2 October 2014 (CDT)
PS: Oh I see what you did there with the [[:Category:Likes]] page, good idea :) --[[User:Gorgonzola|Gorgonzola]] ([[User talk:Gorgonzola|talk]]) 08:50, 2 October 2014 (CDT)
==Zone pages & monster statsNPC Shop Icons==If you have Hi guys. I think the energy to basic Shop icons templating is ready for use. See [[NPC Template]] and [[Item Icons Guide]]. Many icons are reused in-game so a lot of items in shop listings should be covered. We will just add invividual pages icons over time whenever the fancy arise :) I have some ideas to many foes I think make it would be better easier to edit their stats create those shop listings (armor/health/powerwith a little script) as well as Anatomy knowledge inside their relevant pages .. but for several reasonsnow that's how it works. IF you somehow want more data on the shop, msg me in-game (Gorgonzola), or post on my page, or post on the [[Talk:* The stats will NPC Template]] I should see it. Currently you can see one idea for Lucky Belt is I used a ABBR tag to put the skills in the tooltip. There's always compromises to be duplicated between made, I think icons make the parent pageshop list easier to scan, and monster pagesis worth the extra space. Having those icons also gives us other possibilities, for example see [[Sword#Equipment]]. --[[User:Gorgonzola|Gorgonzola]] ([[User talk:Gorgonzola|talk]]) 16:31, 6 October 2014 (CDT) ==Creature Type Pages==Hi Karu, requiring more edits in as discussed I'm wondering how to handle the future creature types. (also keep you seemed to have interest in mind some that part of these general foes may very well appear in the wiki). Atm creature type more zones or less equals in -game Anatomy classification right? Thats probably the future, thus further increasing the number of places more logical way to go. So we have to update them)"Arthropod", "Fungoid", "Goblin", etc.* <strike>First I planned would suggest to make a nice little stats template with Armornew pages, reather than use the Category Page themselves. [http:/Health/Power iconswiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Arachnid Here is an example from GWW Arachnids]. I will edit it in Perhaps on that page you can list the creature pagesAnatomy XP you wanted to? On this page we can make an automatic list with DPL tag. The ones we don't have an article yet, but they wonwe can just manually list them in that page so we don't work in forget about it. I would do just like GWW and use a simple page name: "Fungoid", "Goblin", "Giant", "Plant" ,etc. If needed later we can add the zone anatomy pages (the sub skills), so eg. "Dinosaur" is the creature type, and "Dinosaur Anatomy" would be a skill page (if we ever want to document these). Only too generic name I can see is "Plant" ("Biting Vine"s in Sun Vale). For Therese, you used [[:Category:Plants]] (plural) as the table format)</strike> DONE Likes category, so there is no collision there. Let me know what you think. --[[User:Gorgonzola|Gorgonzola]] ([[TemplateUser talk:MOB infoboxGorgonzola|talk]]) 20:32, 6 October 2014 (CDT) * Helps trim down the zones So to clarify I propose to make these pages which may grow long named exactly: Aberration, Arthropod, Bear and unwieldy over time* And most importantly imhoBugbear, Canine, this gives etc. (exactly as written in the option for people in-game anatomy sub-skills). I fixed "Dinosaurs" (Dinosaur) and "Ruminant Ungulate" (Ruminant) as these didn't correspond to reveal more at their own discretion, by following the link in-game skills pane. All these pages are non-plural (ieunlike the "Likes" categories). the further away from the main pageIf you're fine with that, the more detailsfeel free to go ahead with any of these pages. --[[User:Gorgonzola|Gorgonzola]] ([[User talk:Gorgonzola|talk]]) 20:45, kind of a spoiler hierarchy6 October 2014 (CDT).
<strike>ps: I'll try went ahead and created a few pages to get a nice little Armor/Health/Power template soonbetter idea of how that would work. As you mentioned that you planned to "make (anatomy) page link to the relevant creature anatomy info".. I edited a few links in there. So you can see the general picture: Anatomy sub-skills table links to the creature type pages ("Aberration", "Undead", etc). Hopefully that's what you meant. On each creature type page I put a small mention of the Autopsy Kit (links back to Anatomy page). Those pages use DPL tag to list the currently categorized creatures. Thanks The other ones we can add manually for all whenever we feel like adding the good work!</strike> DONEpage later (the red links can act as a todo list basically, eg. in [[Plant]] I put one I found that I don't have time to document atm). If you have ideas for this page feel free to make something like [[Creature Type Template]] so we can decide on a structure there? --[[User:Gorgonzola|Gorgonzola]] ([[User talk:Gorgonzola|talk]]) 15:57, 7 October 2014 (CDT)
: PS: As you can see I used the in-game Anatomy sub-skills description to get a basic intro for the page. --[[User:Gorgonzola|Gorgonzola]] ([[User talk:Gorgonzola|talk]]) 0916:5200, 3 7 October 2014 (CDT)
: Hmm==Beast Form Pages==Regarding your recent edit of Spider Form. Actually I now realize certain creatures like [[Skeleton Archer]] may think it would make sense to use different stats depending where they spawn"Pig Form" or maybe "Pig (beast form)". So When I see two solutions started editing here: 1) if tis is really necessary (I think it's overkill and documenting for documenting's sake, imhothere was already "Cow Form", which seemed logical. But then there is pointless) we can document the stats in the body article, for each zone the mob appears in"Lycanthropy" instead of "Werewolf Form"... Personally I'm definitely not going would prefer to bother doing that in alphahave consistent "Animal Form" page names, and I'd like to save my sanity. 2) Much more reasonable imho is to document as the Armor/Health/Rage only for named creatures, in the [[Template:MOB infobox]]. This is simplerDeer, and it's also usefulPig, whereas documenting stats of a sickly wolf is pretty pointlesss (imho) Spider are too generic articles and a waste of our time (AND, personally if I do something I'd intuitively sound like to do it well.the basic creature or type. Let me know what if we you want to document every single mob's stats, it's going to be endless work, so it's only going to be half-done work, whereas documenting all you can go ahead making the boss type creatures is totally doable during alpha).<br><br>(Let's make a small, but coherent "xxx Form" pages and useful wikimoving content there, rather than one that adds up pages, half of them near empty of substance and being of no interest to blank the ones behind. I know a playermay /wiki spider .)<br><br>So for the general creatures .. In that case I will look at would suggest to add to the template and see that intro of the Armor/Health/Rage is only optional so it basic creature "A player can show only for the bosses turn into (otherwise it will be incorrect as I explained as certain basic monsters exist in various animal), see [[animal Form]]"strengths"). How's that sound? --[[User:Gorgonzola|Gorgonzola]] ([[User talk:Gorgonzola|talk]]) 1605:4504, 3 7 October 2014 (CDT)
==Misc==Could you let me know :I agree that it should be internally consistent, so if you got notified of my last repliesI was going to consider the best way to do it, as I'm not sure how notifications are firedIMHO it would be [[Spider (Skill)]]. I reorganized the talk page a bit by topics That way Lycanthropy and maybe that stops the "new message" from working. As far as I know whenever you reply various beast forms stay heterogenous, both with indents ( : character ), it will notify themselves and all the other person, but that may require the person you respond to to have signed (with <nowiki>--~~~~</nowiki>)battle skills. --[[User:GorgonzolaKarunama|GorgonzolaKarunama]] ([[User talk:GorgonzolaKarunama|talk]]) 07:14:16, 5 7 October 2014 (CDT)
==NPC Shop Icons==Hi guys:: Sure, I like that. I think the basic Shop icons templating Makes sense , it is ready for usea full skill line right. See So [[NPC TemplateSpider (Skill)]] and , [[Item Icons GuideCow (Skill)]], etc. Many icons are reused in-game so a lot of items in shop listings should be coveredNot sure wjhat you mean with Lycanthropy. We will just add icons over time whenever the fancy arise :Should we have [[Lycanthropy (Skill) I have some ideas to make it easier to create those shop listings ]] or [[Werewolf (with a little scriptSkill).. but ]]? i think the latter may be easier for now that's how it works. IF you somehow want more data on the shop, msg me inplayers? --game [[User:Gorgonzola|Gorgonzola]] ([[User talk:Gorgonzola|talk]]) 08:07, 7 October 2014 (CDT:: Btw, or post on my if you blank out a pagesometimes and don't know what to do with it, or post on the you can use <code>#REDIRECT [[Talk:NPC Templatepagename]] I should see </code> to make it. Currently you can see one idea for Lucky Belt is I used into a ABBR tag to put the skills in the tooltipredirect. There's always compromises to be made, I think icons make (presumably that does the shop list easier to scanexact same thing as "Move", and it is worth the extra space. Having those icons also gives us other possibilitiesnot possible to truly move a page it seems, for example see [[Sword#Equipment]]or not obvious at all). --[[User:Gorgonzola|Gorgonzola]] ([[User talk:Gorgonzola|talk]]) 1608:09, 7 October 2014 (CDT) ::: Definitely Lycanthropy (Skill). That's how it appears in the game's skill tab, after all. [[User:Karunama|Karunama]] ([[User talk:Karunama|talk]]) 11:3102, 6 7 October 2014 (CDT)
