The lands were once home to the Duchy of Eltibule, though in recent years the land is patronless as each member of the Eltibule family met an ill fate. [[Eltibule Keep]], their former seat of power, has been maintained by former servants of the family and passing merchants. Years ago, many merchants and craftsmen were drawn to the Eltibule area because of Council promises to drive out the goblins and establish a new trade route starting in Eltibule and going through the [[Kur Mountains]] to [[Gazluk]].
