Attempt to dream about Arisetsu (8h) - Complete "Arisetsu's Gift, Part 2"

You dream vividly of Arisetsu. She guides you slowly across the landscape to a small, abandoned town nestled in the mountains of Gazluk Plateau. There, ghosts roam the street, but with a snap of Arisetsu's fingers you find yourself back in time, when the small town was bustling with life. Passersby come and go, and you hear melodic chanting coming from the building at the center of the village: the Church of Arisetsu.

She leads you into the church, which is packed with worshippers of all ages and races. Dwarves sit next to elves, jovially singing along with the hymns. Goblins and humans sway together, chanting to the heavens. Though a blizzard rages outside, inside the church is warm and inviting.

Ariestsu leads you to the front of the church, to the raised lectern. You stand at it and she hands you a book, just as a hush falls over the church. The laity look upon you expectantly. You open the book, and begin reading the words, when you are jolted awake.

You must report this vision to Aralorn!

Attempt to dream about Arisetsu again (8h) - Complete "Arisetsu's Gift, Part 3"

Arisetsu visits you once more, this time in a field of yellow crystals as far as the eye can see. At the center of the field is a pile of white crystals of all shapes and sizes - diamonds, quartz, agates, all heaped on top of each other. Arisetsu's glowing yellow form hovers over top of the mound of crystals and lowers into it slowly. As her own form's color shifts from a bright yellow to a blinding white, so too do the innumerable yellow crystals fade to white.

When you finally awake, you have been imprinted with archaic divine knowledge.

May Arisetsu's warmth wash over you.

On second thought, perhaps She sent you here today for a reason?

And what reason would that be?

Ever since coming to this camp and bathing in the warmth and glow of the yellow crystals, I ahve had vivid dreams. I truly believe it is the Goddess herself, Arisetsu, speaking to me, and trying to reveal the secrets of this place and these crystals.

Arisetsu is speaking to you in your dreams?

I do believe so. Many of my dreams are too vague for abstract for me to comprehend, but there is one recurring dream that is clear. I am resting among an outcropping of the yellow crystals, reciting prayers to myself, when one of the crystals transforms before my very eyes into the shape of a glowing woman. She speaks to me, but I cannot understand what she is saying. She reaches out to give me something, but I cannot grab it.

That seems... ominous.

I had hoped that reciting the same prayers in this very camp would manifest her here, in the physical world. But alas, it has not. I have tried for weeks now, to no avail.

I take it that's where I come in?

Quite astute. Yes, I am not convinced that my prayers will not work here, but perhaps while I pray here you can seek out other yellow crystal outcroppings and recite prayers of your own. I refuse to believe my recurring dreams are merely a coincidence.

Very well, I will help you.

Arisetsu smiles upon us both this day. Here is what you must do: go to some of the yellow crystal outcroppings that are spread throughout the plateau. While you feel their warmth upon your skin, say a prayer to Arisetsu. Any prayer will do, so long as you address it to Her directly. If all goes well, then I'm not sure what will happen... but something will.
Risk certain death and pray to Arisetsu. Got it.
(Unlocks Arisetsu's Gift).

No thanks. Frankly, you sound like a crazy person.

Have you done it? Has Arisetsu visited you in your dreams?

Yes, she has.

That is phenomenal news! Perhaps it supplements my own dream. Tell me, what did she show you?

Explain the dream to Aralorn

Prestonbule! Yes, that makes so much sense. I had heard of an ancient church there, but have never seen it with my own eyes. And that explains my dream as well. Ah Ariestsu [sic], you work in mysterious and yet completely logical ways.

What was your dream?

Arisetsu visited me and recited a hymn, over and over again. It must have been a dozen times, at least, just enough for me to memorize it without going crazy. When I awoke, I rushed to write it down so as to preserve it. Now it is clear why she did this! She gave each of us a piece of the puzzle.

Yes, it is clear as day! She gave me the action, and you the location. All we must do is combine the two, and perform the action at the location! You must recite the hymn at the Prestonbule lectern.

Ah, yes. That makes total sense.

Agreed. Now here, take the hymn. Go and read it at the Prestonbule lectern, and be ready for anything. I don't know what to expect, but I would expect it to be profound.
