Throughout Povus, there are exposed bone piles which, if you have a [[Paleontology Pick]], you can dig through them to try to collect bones of various kinds.If you lack the [[Paleontology]] skill, you can attempt a maximum of one or two excavations on each pile before it is exhausted and disappears.If you have [[Paleontology]], you can sometimes excavate a given bone pile up to three times, and the chances of your picks breaking appears to be somewhat lower.Many bones are ordinary, and a few are associated with quests, while the "Mysterious Monster" bones can be used with the '''Animate Monster''' Paleontology ability.
