'''The Council of Eight''' was formed by the remaining members of the [[The Council of Thirteen]] after the [[Dissenting Five]] were exiled. They ruled for 103 years, and replaced members when needed. When [[Torsagar the Regent]] opted to retire, the Council of Eight chose to not anoint any new members. They eventually became known as [[The Council of Five]].
