While individually they are still weak, their combined psychic power can be debilitating, so I created a simple counter-spell to neutralize their longer-term effects.
Animals are clearly not sufficient mental prey -- they need smarter food. I'm declaring these brain creatures to be another failed experiment... for now. I must leave, but I am releasing the strongest of the brain bugs into the caves below so that they can grow and perhaps thrive. I will come and find their offspring when I have a supply of smarter creatures to feed them.
