Performance was added April 12,2015 to cover subskills related to playing different instruments (at the moment). Playing music will give others around you a buff depending on your skill at the instrument and how long you play that will boost combat xp, out-of-armor regeneration, as well as providing a chance at extra rewards while gardening. The duration of the buff increases as you listen to the performance, increasing faster with more musicians, and caps at an 8 hour buff.

[Important: July 2016 patch now kicks characters offline after being inactive for 15 minutes. Dancing actions have been changed to affect crafting xp now instead of performances. The /dance1 /dance2 and further dance actions have been also removed. You can now learn dancing skill from Lana Songtree in South Serbule. There is also an npc in the same building as her that will play a 5 minute performance for you for a small amount of councils]
