Each kind of food will reward Bonus Experience ''the first time'' they are eaten. To see all the unique foods you've already eaten (and how many of each), go to '''Skills pane > Gourmand''' and select the button there. Some high-level foods will provide a small amount of XP (+1) each time they are consumed.
