“Necromancy is control over the undead, along with other powers that trifle with mortality. To use necromantic abilities, you must be wielding or wearing a necromancy gem. You can often find these on weapons, and less often on pieces of armor. (If you are in a beast form, necromancy gems in weapons won't work, but ones in armor will.)
Note: the skill is a no-frills version, with a more elaborate set of systems "coming soon". Please report your impression of the skill plus any problems you see![1]
Necromancy is a skill that utilizes darkness and death to create servants as well as deal damage and steal the life-force of enemies. It is also required for the skill of Corpse Talking.
To use necromantic abilities, you must be wielding or wearing an item that has the modifier "Enables Necromantic Abilities" known ingame as a "Necromancy Gem" on it. These are found on weapons, armour and actual offhand Necromancy Orbs used for this skill.
The skill makes heavy use of bones. Femurs can be acquired easily from most skeletons, through bonuses in use of the butchering skill, recovered from graves (See Corpse Talking) and Burial Urns. (In the future, Necromancers will have additional ways to get more bones.)<--(unknown if my addition here is said methods.)
You can only raise Skeleton Minions within graveyards. If you want to raise skeletons elsewhere, you'll need to make or find your own makeshift dynamic graveyard. Any location with three player tombstones in close proximity will allow you to raise Skeletons.
Static Graveyards
- Entrance to the Serbule Crypt
- Interior of the Serbule Crypt in two areas, the start and just before the corridor leading to the Nameless Warrior and the hallway to the Strange spider
- PVP Testing Dungeon's one of the rooms that lead to coffins in Serbule Keep
- Eltibule Keep's Royal Graveyard to the left of the keep (north on the map)
