ItemT changes
Please notice icon= syntax for Template:ItemT is deprecated. This was dropped when ItemT was converted to use Template:Item_icon. See docs for details. Arindor (talk) 09:43, 3 May 2017 (CDT)
: I have to admit, I completely missed that change (which I really like). Thank you for both implementing it, and pointing it out. BetaNotus (talk) 18:06, 4 May 2017 (CDT)
:: You are welcome. I'm glad you liked it! Arindor (talk) 13:24, 5 May 2017 (CDT)
::: Very handy, is there anything similar for skill icons? I've just been uploading each individually (example: ) but I'm not really up to speed on anything that happened since last June. Medicus (talk) 14:52, 9 July 2017 (CDT)
:::: Welcome back. Yes, there is such a thing, at least partially. Check Template:Ability_icon BetaNotus (talk) 16:00, 9 July 2017 (CDT)
::::: Thank you, works like a charm. Medicus (talk) 20:08, 9 July 2017 (CDT)

Food transfer
There are lots of articles in the Food category, why move them to Items/Food that is hardly used and not as easy to read? Caleon (talk)
: The old categories were added in a mostly failed attempt to self-categorize items that proved to be too great a task at the time, and game updates have provided a better system. Switching category tags on all items is something that needs to happen, and a bot is being written to add them automatically to item pages. I'll do my best to explain, using the Large Strawberry. In-game, and through the available json files, the Large Strawberry is categorized with a number of Keywords. (BrewingFruitA4, BrewingIngredient, Edible, Food, FoodorCookingIngredient, Fruit, Ingredient, InstantSnack, Snack). These keywords, when applied to every item, will allow the wiki to generate very specific lists using dpl that can be tied into NPC purchase lists, favor, or skill pages. For example, an updating list of every item that is an Instant Snack or meal could be created. Marna Loves Rare Recipes. Instead of letting users guess what is a "Rare Recipe", the Small Talk section for Marna will directly link to a list of all items in the Items/RareRecipe category. == missing icon for Red Wing Token ==

Good morning Beta

in Bartering:Dorimir Fangblade I introduced an item that has a missing icon. Do you know how to fix that ? I think I referenced the item correct.
Thanks for your help
Jackybah2 (talk) 03:51, 23 September 2018 (EDT)
: Good morning. You did reference the item properly, but the wiki has yet to receive an update to Template:Item icon since the latest patch. I'll manually add the Red Wing Token, but the rest of the items will wait until the page gets updated by the bot. What is going on here, why is everything being deleted? 06:47, 22 February 2020 (EST) Evicos
: Hello! Everything is not being deleted, just the older item pages. There has been a warning on the wiki's main page (since September) that anything added to item pages may be lost, as eventually every item page would be replaced. Yesterday, everything fell into place allowing a new bot to activate, which populated the wiki with item pages that contain a complete transfer of information from the json files. The older item pages used ItemT, a now removed template which approximated the pre-2015 look for in-game items. It didn't provide any information beyond the item name, value, and description. The new ITEM infobox template displays everything, including dye slot information on armor! You can see a good example of this on the Windstep Shoes page. More importantly, all of the keywords were added to the wiki, which allow for some extremely useful tables to be added onto skill and npc pages. Anyways, out of the ~3,270 old item pages, only about 200 had any user changes made to them that added content. Those changes were exported from the wiki before deletion, and will be re-added once it's confirmed that the bot added all pages properly.
