The answer is "String." This item is sometimes called a ball of string by players and can be obtained through either Textile Creation or purchased from Ukorga in the Kur Mountains. A Prodigy who thinks ahead might obtain more than one "Ball of String" for use with the newly acquired skill.<spoiler show="Click to see why">taming a cat requires a ball of string for every attempt</spoiler>
