You can have as many pets as you have stable slots. You can buy more stable slots in town.
If your pet dies, you can either try to resuscitate it in the field using a [[Good First Aid Kit]], or head back to the stable to revive it for a small fee.
To raise the Animal Handling skill you have to use pet abilities while fighting, just like any other skill.
