There will '''never''' be a method to remove Lycanthropy from a character, so be sure to understand the risks and rewards before accepting the blessing of [[Norala]].* Individuals infected with Lycanthropy can switch between humanoid and wolf form without too much effort, however they will be locked into wolf form during the Full Moon.* While in wolf form, Lycanthropes have access to powerful slashing, crushing, and trauma attacks. * [[Howl Mode]] allows packs of wolf-form lycanthropes to build up impressive combat-improving buffs.; [[Spirit Fox]]* Spirit Fox are tricksters, using abilities including [[Dimensional Snare]] to immobilize targets and [[Blur Step]] to boost their melee evasion during combat. In combat, Spirit Fox deal mostly Crushing and Darkness damage. * Spirit Fox can use [[Illusive Guise]] to disguise themselves in a humanoid projection for a short time. This allows them to interact with Animal Hating NPCs.; Druid Forms* [[Druid]]s can magically project themselves as [[Deer]], as well as a variety of birds including [[Raven Form|Raven]] and [[Mallard Form|Mallard]]. However, these are NOT [[Beast Forms]].
[[Cow]] and [[Deer]] are both built as Tanks, Cow as more of your traditional tank archetype, while Deer can be considered an Off-Tank. With Cow your Tankiness/Tank-like Abilities come inherently from your skills. While with Deer, your tank-like abilities come from having the right mods on your gear. [[Spider]]s would be similar to your dps/assassin types most of their skill is set on using Infinite Legs, or Poison abilities to quickly kill the enemy. The same can be said about [[Lycanthropy|Werewolves]] and [[Giant Bat]]s, they're both known for their damage and their ability to keep the pressure on. [[Pig]]s are your support build, they can solo decently, but they are better off in groups, as a healer or a buff build with use of Mudbath, Frenzy, Porcine Alertness.  [[Rabbit]]s offer a stealthy playstyle. [[Druid]]s by themselves should NOT be classified as a == Beast Form. However Druids are given spells that will allow them to assume certain beast appearances like [[Deer]], [[Raven]] and [[Mallard]].  === Advantages Mechanics === With [[Cow]]s your advantages are you are a tank, so you have high survivability. Cows also have a nice sprint skill called Moo of Determination, and they have the ability to produce their own milk, which helps in crafting skills such as Cheesemaking, or Cooking. If you are a vegetarian Cow you have the ability to produce milk every 3 or 4 minutes, while if your a non-vegetarian you can only produce it every 5 minutes. Players can also milk other Player Cows every 15 minutes. Both are considerably better than waiting an hour to milk a specific cow. [[Deer]]s have the ability to jump faster/higher, they also have AoE Taunts, while Cow only has single target taunts. They have the ability also to summon another Deer Pet to help out in battle. [[Spider]]s have the ability to use Insidious Illusion to talk to Animal Hating NPCs, it uses up a Moonstone. They also have the ability at lvl 50 to produce their own Spiderweb, which does help with crafting such as Tailoring, especially if they want to make their own Spider Carapace Armor. [[Pig]]s have two sidebar abilities Terror Dash, which gives them a sprint bonus, and Truffle Sniff which allows them to sniff for mushrooms, I believe the higher the Truffle Sniff the higher lvl Mushroom you are likely to get, or the higher the chances you are of getting a mushroom. [[Rabbit]]s are the only Beast Form capable of using [[Ice Magic]] by equipping a special headgear item. [[Giant Bat]]s have the ability of Echolocation which allows them to see in the dark, such as dungeons (especially helpful with Claudia), and they do have the ability to Fly, they also have the ability to turn players into Bats, so be careful when facing them in PvP. [[Lycanthropy|Wolves]] have the ability to switch in and out of wolf form(except during Full Moon, when they are stuck for 3 days), they also have specific Wolf-Altar/Wolf benefits, the altar can unlock higher lvl abilities, has the option of being a storage space, and by completing quests for the Altar you can get bonuses like Extra Armor, Power, Health, Damage Mitigation, Bonus Attack %, or a Sprint Speed bonus. ==== Familiar's Recall ====

Using a Recall Collar, a character using one of the [[Beast Forms]] may directly teleport to their master using the Familiar's Recall ability. This ability can be used from anywhere, as long as the player has been in animal form for the past 3 hours of in-game real time. This ability is learned from their master:

One of the disadvantages of becoming a [[Beast Forms|Beast Form]] is [[Beast Speech]]. When the skill is low, random words spoken in chat will be replaced by an animal sound of the same length. For example, a cow sending "''I need help, can you meet me at the Serbule Well''" might be sent as "''I moooo moooo, can moo meet me at the moooooooo moooo?''", which is rather inconvenient! The words replaced are random, and as Beast Speech is leveled, the frequency of swapped words is reduced dramatically.
* [[Spirit Fox]] are not afflicted with [[Beast Speech]], as their transformation results is something not-quite a physical form.

Most [[Beast Forms]] have armor or equipment that can only be worn by that form. Usually, this includes [[Racial Jewelry]], however some forms have armor that changes them visually. Check individual pages of the [[Beast Forms]] for complete lists of their special equipment.
* [[Cow]]s have access to crafted Champron (headwear) & Barding(chest armor), which gives them the appearance of an armored cow.
* [[Deer]] can equip Alicorns such as {{Item|Greenberg's Horn}}, which add a centered horn to their forehead.

Not every NPC in Project: Gorgon is friendly to [[Beast Forms]]. Newly transformed [[Beast Forms]] quickly discover that many shopkeepers shun animals, refusing to speak with them. In the town of [[Serbule]], shopping and training services once offered in humanoid form will be rescinded by [[Marna]], [[Joeh]], [[Elahil]], and [[Tadion]]. If humanoid form is regained, normal access to animal-hating NPCs will return.
* Some NPCs can be bribed to speak with animals, such as [[Hulon]] in [[Serbule]]. The method to bribe NPCs varies. Sometimes the NPCs offer a quest, at other times they want a bribe of Councils.
* NPCs that refuse to speak to [[Beast Forms]] can be picky. They may shun only "scary" forms, usually [[Spider]], [[Lycanthropy|Lycanthrope]], and [[Giant Bat]].
* Both [[Spider]] and [[Spirit Fox]] gain access to abilities allowing them to temporarily appear humanoid.
* Discoverable [[Words of Power]] exist that can temporarily project a humanoid form.

While some NPCs shun [[Beast Forms]], others will only be willing to interact with them. There are [[Awakened]] animals in small camps and outposts across Alharth that offer alternative places to train and shop.==== Disadvantages Animal Town ====<B>Becoming a Werewolf / choosing for [[LycanthropyAnimal Town]] is a PERMANENT CHOICEhidden refuge in [[Sun Vale]] populated by various species of talking animals. It has some impactful consequences when doing thatSome of the residents are [[Awakened]], while others are were-creatures, or were granted intelligence by unknown methods. It CANNOT Humans, Rakshasa, Orcs, Fairies, and Elves are forbidden from entering the town, and will be reversedforcibly removed by the deadly [[Summoned Guardian]]s.</B>
One Individuals who have recently transformed into one of the disadvantages of being an animal is [[Beast SpeechForms]]. While typing will find themselves unable to speak with most NPCs in chat certain words can be changed to a sound[[Animal Town]] until 180 real-representationworld minutes have been played. <br>Example: a Cow might type "I'll wait for If you near loose track of the Serbule well". But after pressing Enter the sentence may read as "I'll wait moo time you near the Moooooo mooo". The words that will be replaced will be random.  Certain NPCs will not speak to you while you are an animal. Especially the ones in transformed, [[SerbuleNorbert]]. (Note: This also has the consequence that pig can tell you when the storage for Joeh, Marna, Ivyn and Tadion may not be available. At other residents will tolerate talking with you!* Befriending the moment those storages are available to animals through the Serbule central storage closet in the room between Hulon and Marna). But to counter that there are Animal NPCs in residents of [[Animal Town]] which is in highly encouraged for all [[Sun ValeBeast Forms]], who will speak wish to you, but only after you have been an Animal for 3 remain in game hourstheir forms long-termAnother disadvantage is your inability to use skills that require handsThe NPCs of the town offer training of [[Beast Forms#Beast Skills|Beast Skills]], such as Sword, Fire/Ice Magic, Shieldabilities, and your inability provide storage exclusive to cut/gather wood, and to milk cows and other animals, since skills that require the use of Hands do not work, since animals do not have hands (or thumbs)[[Beast Forms]]. ====Crafting Gear for Animal FormsOutposts ====Observant players have noticed that it's hard to craft gear for animal-cursed players. There's only one ; [[Gems|gemKur Mountains]] that covers all animal curses, so you often craft Deer gear when you really want Spider gear, and so on. : North of [[PretaKur Tower]] can teach you to inscribe on the far side of the river, a small crystal-guarded outpost run by foxes watches over the region.: Inside a cavern carved into a mountain, a group of [[Sigil Scripting|runesWarden]] into s stay safe and plan for their future. This cavern is magically-sealed to outsiders and those gems, so that you can attune the gem to one specific animal cursein humanoid forms. You'll want to get your ; [[Sigil ScriptingGazluk]] skill to level 25 to be able to use those techniques: In the northeast mountains of the inner ring, a small Animal Camp provides a warm refuge from the cold. === General tips regarding playing in an Animal Form = Useful NPCs to Befriend ====For general advice, avoid playing as an Outside of animal unless absolutely certain, and after you have explored zones such as Serbule -run towns and Etilbule as a humanoutposts, and gotten at least some storage space, NPC favors done, and gotten used to the general feel of the game. Because starting off as an Animal can be hard or trying for there are a new player. Be aware few NPCs that the Animal Forms stackshould become acquainted with. If you are a cow, and drink a ; [[Deer JuiceSerbule]] potion, you will appear to be a Deer. However you are also still cursed as a Cow. So after drinking an Un-Deer Juice, you will not be in human form, but will be a Cow again. When just starting animal say something in Nearby chat every 5 min or so. That way you will get exp in your * [[Beast SpeechFlia]]- A fairy east of Serbule Keep, and won't bother people she offers shopkeeper services in Global. You can also set up a new chatany easy to reach location for lower-channel with a unique name and use that as a private channel to randomly type in, to level up [[Beast SpeechForms]]To (some) animals Joeh will not talk. Thus causing a problem for those players when trying to sell gear loot-drops. Please know that * [[Roshun Harry the TraitorWolf]] talks to animals and also buys gear. Storage unlocked - A Lycanthrope shopkeeper in the Serbule (from Joehgarden, Ivyn or Marna) will seem to be unavailable to animals since those NPC's wont talk to them. That storage can be accessed (at least as of the moment this is written) through the Bookshelf (between Marna's and Hulon's house). 3-sylabe word of powers include ones that will grant you illusionHarry speaks with [[Beast Forms]] naturally, making you look like elf for 2 min. can be helpfull when talking but requires extra effort by humanoid forms who want to NPCsconverse with him. Animal forms * [[Beast Forms]] (and specifically Cow at first), was were at first 'a fluke' by the Dev'sDevelopers.Citan / Eric originally only intended the Animal forms Beast Forms to be a very temporary curse. Intended , intended only as 'punishment' and to be cured ASAP. <br>He / they were was surprised to find that certain players wanted to continue playing in that their animal form. And forms, and subsequently the different animal forms and their abilities and playstyle were further developed.
