A measure of your renown. You earn Notoriety the first time you defeat certain enemies (typically any monster with a proper name), and for completing particularly difficult quests.

Notoriety is raised by defeating named creatures and completing certain quests. The amount of Notoriety gained will be echoed in your chat window.

When looking through this wiki, pretty much all named creatures listed under "Special Foes", as well as Bosses, give Notoriety.

You can see a list of all the Notorious Deeds you've previously completed by going to Skills pane > Notoriety and select the button there.

The following shows permanent bonuses unlocked with the skill at level 22 (note that this skill may take a long time to level up!):
