Elder Game, LLC. is excited to preview our totally redesigned and redeveloped Graphical User Interface for our upcoming Fantasy MMORPG Project: Gorgon. The new User Interface was written from the ground up to take advantage of the latest that the Unity Engine has to offer and the graphical appearance was designed by a top-rated UI artist! The UI features a fully customizable streamlined appearance while also housing a tremendous number of new functions and features.
User Customization
The ability for players to customize the Project: Gorgon UI was extremely important for us as we were developing and designing the new UI. We wanted to provide a wide range of customization options and we did just that! Those customizations include the ability to:
- Reposition UI elements to different positions on the screen;
- Scale UI elements to your precise specifications;
- Dock UI elements to specific locations;
- Create Customized Chat Tabs;
- Resize font text;
- and much more through the extensive GUI settings menu!
Functions and Features
It was extremely important for us to create a new UI with a solid base that would allow us to expand upon the fundamental functions and feature as Project: Gorgon continues through the development process, onto launch and beyond.
The new UI features more natural controls and an extensive collection of quality of life improvements including more natural controls and more contextual information on an assortment of game items. The update allows us to provide a wide array of traditional widgets from the ability to have collapsible sub-skills to the ability to copy and paste ‘Words of Power’ to your notepad, chat, or even externally.
The new UI features a new context information system which allows the player to display contextual information specific to that item. As an example, if you pick up an apple you will be able to see which NPC favors that item, what recipes call for the item as an ingredient, and other information relevant to that specific item.
The new Project: Gorgon UI includes improvements to existing game systems while simultaneously implementing new game functions and features. Perhaps even more importantly, it represents a solid foundation upon which future updates can build upon.
