Every year when Ri-Shin starts a snapshot is taken of your characters Favor levels. Any NPCs above the threshold will offer you a one time gift, or set of gifts, for your favor level. If you are above Friends, but below Like Family, you will receive the Friends gift. If you are at Like Family or above you will receive the best gift they offer. Any favor changes over the course of the event will have no impact on the rewards given. Most NPCs have a set of specific items, many of them unique to the Ri-Shin holiday gifts. One example {{Item|Yogzi's Butcher Knife}}. Other NPCs will give you a random item from a list of possible rewards, these are generally not unique to Ri-Shin.
