→Parameter 'level' to 'favor' ?: Added further clarification
:Yes, was a bit torn by that creating the template. Unfortunately, "favor" is often used in the context of a numerical value: i.e. 60 favor for gifting a Council Certificate. This template is still very much under construction, and thinking it might get inherited by something else that does use numerical favor (maybe by a table of items that can be traded for favor?), I opted to go with "level" to possibly avoid confusion. But I agree, not the best term. Maybe something else will come to mind. "favor-level" is most accurate, but cumbersome. Others: Relationship, association (no better), status (not very description). Trying to remember what other games use instead of "favor". Arindor (talk) 12:42, 3 March 2017 (CST)
::I'm not sure potential inheritance is an issue. Favor earned when donating an item is a percentage of it's value. To encode information in the wiki, i think the right way to do it is by item value under the item, and then by percentage (or fraction) in pages related to favor, like the small talk sections of NPC pages. I don't see a situation where ambiguity would arise between the favor level required by an item (a property inherent to the item on a vendor's shop screenor other list of items) and the favor-percentage given by a particular NPC (inherent to the NPC). As this percentage applies to an entire category of item (e.g. meat dishes), rather than to individual items, i doubt this template would apply in that circumstance. Thus i still suggest 'favor' as the best name for this paramater. Alleryn (talk) 13:59, 3 March 2017 (CST)
