“Skill in the act of removing meat and useful body organs from a corpse. You need to be carrying a butcher knife in order to butcher a corpse. Corpses of sentient creatures, such as goblins and humans, can't be butchered.
Butchering is a skill that allows players to harvest extra meat and organs from creatures. The option is available when looting a corpse, and a knife is in the inventory. To get started, purchase a Butcher Knife from the cook Fainor in Serbule Keep. Failing a butcher gives 1 XP, while completing it successfully gives XP equivalent to the enemy's level. Getting an organ or bone gives 3 times the normal XP, and it is possible to get 2 organs/bones for a total bonus of 9x. Extracting a skull also gives Butchering XP.
