Digging crystals out of the ground, and knowing what they do

Geology allows the collection of gems which are used for crafting and the teleportation skill.

In order to use this skill a player must first obtain the Surveying skill from Joeh.

Surveys lead to mostly random gems. You have to make a lot of them to get the gems you need.

Blue surveys are best to get the Amethyst required for teleportation.

Lapis Lazuli for Marna (of course, you could also buy them from other players or buy "used" from a vendor)
