“The art of dying.
Dying is the skill of being killed. 10 experience is gained on death, and more is gained from higher level enemies and more peculiar causes of death. The experience gained is much higher the 1st time any of these happen.

To see a list of the unique ways in which you've died previously (and how many times each), go to Skills panel > Dying and select the button there.
Common ways to die
Here are non-spoilery causes of death (mostly from common foes):
