Zone pages & monster stats
If you have the energy to add invividual pages to many foes I think it would be better to edit their stats (armor/health/power) as well as Anatomy knowledge inside their relevant pages for several reasons:

* The stats will be duplicated between the parent page, and monster pages, requiring more edits in the future (also keep in mind some of these general foes may very well appear in more zones in the future, thus further increasing the number of places we have to update them).

* <strike>I planned to make a nice little stats template with Armor/Health/Power icons.. I will edit it in the creature pages, but they won't work in the zone pages (in the table format)</strike> DONE Template:MOB infobox

* Helps trim down the zones pages which may grow long and unwieldy over time

* And most importantly imho, this gives the option for people to reveal more at their own discretion, by following the link (ie. the further away from the main page, the more details, kind of a spoiler hierarchy).

<strike>ps: I'll try to get a nice little Armor/Health/Power template soon. Thanks for all the good work!</strike> DONE

: Hmm. I now realize certain creatures like Skeleton Archer may use different stats depending where they spawn. So I see two solutions here: 1) if tis is really necessary (I think it's overkill and documenting for documenting's sake, imho, which is pointless) we can document the stats in the body article, for each zone the mob appears in. I'm definitely not going to bother doing that in alpha, and I'd like to save my sanity. 2) Much more reasonable imho is to document the Armor/Health/Rage only for named creatures, in the Template:MOB infobox. This is simpler, and it's also useful, whereas documenting stats of a sickly wolf is pretty pointlesss (imho) and a waste of our time (AND, personally if I do something I'd like to do it well.. if we want to document every single mob's stats, it's going to be endless work, so it's only going to be half-done work, whereas documenting all the boss type creatures is totally doable during alpha).<br><br>(Let's make a small, but coherent and useful wiki, rather than one that adds up pages, half of them near empty of substance and being of no interest to the player.)<br><br>So for the general creatures I will look at the template and see that the Armor/Health/Rage is only optional so it can show only for the bosses (otherwise it will be incorrect as I explained as certain basic monsters exist in various "strengths").  --Gorgonzola (talk) 16:45, 3 October 2014 (CDT)

Hi guys. I think the basic Shop icons templating is ready for use. See NPC Template and Item Icons Guide. Many icons are reused in-game so a lot of items in shop listings should be covered. We will just add icons over time whenever the fancy arise :) I have some ideas to make it easier to create those shop listings (with a little script).. but for now that's how it works. IF you somehow want more data on the shop, msg me in-game (Gorgonzola), or post on my page, or post on the Talk:NPC Template I should see it. Currently you can see one idea for Lucky Belt is I used a ABBR tag to put the skills in the tooltip. There's always compromises to be made, I think icons make the shop list easier to scan, and is worth the extra space. Having those icons also gives us other possibilities, for example see Sword#Equipment. --Gorgonzola (talk) 16:31, 6 October 2014 (CDT)

Creature Type Pages
 +
Hi Karu, as discussed I'm wondering how to handle the creature types. (you seemed to have interest in that part of the wiki). Atm creature type more or less equals in-game Anatomy classification right? Thats probably the more logical way to go. So we have "Arthropod", "Fungoid", "Goblin", etc. First I would suggest to make new pages, reather than use the Category Page themselves. Here is an example from GWW Arachnids. Perhaps on that page you can list the Anatomy XP you wanted to? On this page we can make something like the category listing for any other pages that exist under the category (the individual creatures, whichever ones are documented so far). The other ones, we could just add them in those pages then. I would do just like GWW and use a simple page name: "Fungoid", "Goblin", "Giant", "Plant" ,etc. If needed later we can add the anatomy pages (the sub skills), so eg. "Dinosaur" is the creature type, and "Dinosaur Anatomy" would be a skill page (if we ever want to document these).  Only too generic name I can see is "Plant" ("Biting Vine"s in Sun Vale). For Therese, you used :Category:Plants (plural) as the Likes category, so there is no collision there. Let me know what you think. --Gorgonzola (talk) 20:32, 6 October 2014 (CDT)

Welcome, and thanks for helping out :) --Gorgonzola (talk) 11:08, 29 September 2014 (CDT)

About categories. Note that categories like "Mushrooms" may limit our ability later to index various item types, but that depends on how much is really worthwhile to index. To be honest I did the "Likes" categories mostly to learn how they work. Atm I usually just "/wiki spoons" for example, and the wiki search will give me the relevant NPCs due to the text search. So atm I just don't know what is going to be the use for them, but I am not at all experienced in MediaWiki so maybe I am missing something. One idea in the longer term would be to add little icons next to the items in the "Small Talk" section, and clicking those will go to the category page, showing other NPCs that like the similar item. --Gorgonzola (talk) 08:44, 2 October 2014 (CDT)

Misc

Could you let me know if you got notified of my last replies, as I'm not sure how notifications are fired. I reorganized the talk page a bit by topics and maybe that stops the "new message" from working. As far as I know whenever you reply with indents ( : character ), it will notify the other person, but that may require the person you respond to to have signed (with --~~~~). --Gorgonzola (talk) 14:16, 5 October 2014 (CDT)
