“The art of dying.
Dying is the skill of being killed. 10 experience is gained on each death along with an additional 50 for dying in a way that has not been done before by the player:

With sufficient experience a new choice appears when you die "enter the light" which lets you chose one of several places to respawn to ("new death action" unlocked at level 10?).

Here are non-spoilery causes of death (mostly from common foes):
