I know you've heard that we ranalon plan to flood the world. That's true. But we'll let land-dwellers live in special enclaves on the mountain tops. You'll be able to govern yourselves and everything. We're not going to kill everyone!

The aktaari, on the other hand, just want to kill ALL non-insects. So you can see this is a much more severe problem.

Did you open the stone barriers?!

Um... yes?

I went to all the trouble of closing those to keep the aktaari out! They're not friendly at all. They're going to take over! You need to help me deal with this!

Can you start from the beginning?

I'm Cheb. You may have met my sister Errruka. We moved into this cave before the aktaari arrived. The aktaari were really excited about the ooze in this cave, and rightly so. Evu fruit grown in the ooze can make their eggs grow at absurd speeds.

My sister and I were happy for them. At first, we even helped them!

At first?

I'm a pretty good stone-shaper, and my sister knows some expert gadget-makers. We helped them build their cave-home, and then installed all sorts of helpful stonework.

But then we realized what the gadgets were really for. See the stone slab over there? It's a timer!

A timer?

It counts down time until the next bath of aktaari eggs hatch. When that happens, they may have enough to overrun the surface and take over! There are hundreds back there already!

They want to take over Povus?

I overheard the Queen talking about their plans. They don't just want to take over Povus. They want to kill every non-insect on this continent!

They tricked me, and now I'm obligated to help stop them. You should help, too!

How could I help?

Go in there and kill the aktaari, obviously! But there's something more important than mindlessly killing the workers... you need to find the royal eggs!

The royal eggs will hatch into super-powerful kinds of aktaari. You've got to squish those eggs before the timer runs out. I've got some special scrolls I can give you as a reward!

I'll see what I can do.

Cheb

The timer is ticking down! Get in there and defeat the aktaari!

Can I ask you some questions?

What do you need to know?
What do you know about the aktaari?
Well, they come from far away. The aktaari Queen said that where she comes from, there are many kinds of talking insects.
What else can I stlel you? Oh, they love the acid water, so I don't think acid is going to work very well on them. But their hard shells can be pierced, and if you get past the shell, they bleed freely.
Oh, and I should be really explicit about something.
Explicit about what?
I know you've heard that we ranalon plan to flood the world. That's true. But we'll let land-dwellers live in special enclaves on the mountain tops. You'll be able to govern yourselves and everything. We're not going to kill everyone!
The aktaari, on the other had, just want to kill ALL non-insects. So you can see this is a much more severe problem.
Uh huh. I had another question.
