Overview

Egg run is a high level, casual pick-up raid that typically occurs twice a day starting from Red Wing Casino. Players are rewarded with high level gear, skill books, crafting recipes, Xogrite Chunks, and Cheb favor.

Egg Run Rewards

  • Level 90-95 equipment drops
  • High level skill books, although players will only get these if they have at least one combat skill above level 70
  • High level crafting recipes
  • Xogrite Chunks
  • Favor with Cheb

Egg Run Prerequisites

  • Players will need to be able to get to the Aktaari Cave. The most popular way is to use the Teleportation Machine to teleport to Aktaari Cave (the code is 9664 as of October 28th 2025). This requires players to have at least 25 Teleportation skill, and it will also consume 2 Aquamarines every time. Alternatively, players can skip the Teleportation Machine and run through Errruka's Cave to reach Aktaari Cave instead. Realistically, however, the high level enemies and acid swim will prevent most players from being able to do this.
  • Although not strictly necessary, it would be considered rude to attend an egg run without being capable of Reviving other dead players. Deaths happen during egg run and players will need to revive each other constantly, so be a good citizen and come prepared to do your part. Most players use the Resuscitate ability from the First Aid skill (don't forget to bring a stack of diamonds!)

Egg Run Schedule

It is customary for players to gather and do egg run twice a day at the times listed below. Technically egg run can be done as often as once every 2 hours, but typically most players only plan to show up for egg runs at the times below:

  • 11:35am USA Pacific Standard Time
  • 3:35pm USA Pacific Standard Time

Sometimes an egg run might be cancelled due to lack of player interest, especially if there is any sort of special event happening in the game.

Getting to the Egg Run Location

Players typically gather in the main hallway of Red Wing Casino shortly before an egg run, and at the designated time someone will summon a portal to the Teleportation Machine. The players will all go through the portal and use the Teleportation Machine to travel to the egg run start room in Aktaari Cave using the code 9664 (verified correct October 28th 2025). There will usually be around 8 minutes left on the timer before the egg run actually begins, and players use this time to form groups and buff up.

The Egg Run Timer

All throughout Aktaari Cave players will find large timers on the wall, displaying a 60 minute countdown in real time. When the timer reaches zero, the door into the Aktaari Cave opens and the egg run begins. When egg run begins, the timer resets and begins counting down another 60 minutes: this is how much time players have to complete the egg run. When the timer reaches zero again, all players will instantly be teleported back to the start room and the door will be locked again for another hour, until the next egg run begins.

The Egg Run Quest

Upon entering the Aktaari Cave, players should talk to Cheb to get the quest for the egg run event. The quest objectives are to participate in the killing of three Royal Aktaari (minibosses found along the way during the event) and to smash all of the Royal Eggs in the dungeon. If for whatever reason you miss an objective and are unable to complete the quest with Cheb after the egg run, it's not the end of the world, it happens. You'll keep the credit for the objectives you completed, so you'll be practically guaranteed to complete the quest on your next egg run.

Egg Run Mechanics

As soon as the timer reaches zero and the door into the Aktaari Cave opens, the mob of players will immediately begin speedrunning the dungeon as fast as they can, so be ready to keep up. Windstep Shoes can help a ton here, as well as any abilities you have that make you run faster. Spider Speed Potion wouldn't be a bad idea either. It's normal to feel overwhelmed the first time, especially with the fast pace, but you'll quickly catch on to the rhythm and start getting more comfortable. It's actually pretty simple after you've done it once or twice.

  • If you die, DO NOT CLICK RESPAWN!! If you do, you will NOT be sent back to the egg run door - you will be sent all the way to the entrance of Errruka's Cave. Instead, just lay there on the ground and wait for someone to revive you (it happens a lot, don't worry about it).
  • The players will rapidly progress through a long series of rooms connected by hallways. The rooms and hallways are all densely filled with level 95 Aktaari enemies.
  • Most rooms will contain one Royal Egg and one Xogrite Chunk, both laying on the ground. Smash every egg and loot every chunk. Each player must personally smash every egg or they won't get quest credit. The eggs will respawn on every egg run, but the chunks won't respawn until 72 hours after you loot them. The enemies won't respawn until the next egg run, so if you accidentally miss an egg or a chunk, it's safe to go back and look for them (although you might miss out on a miniboss kill while you're away from the group).
  • Some rooms will contain a special miniboss named Knight Egg. It looks like a Royal Egg, but it's actually a miniboss that always drops good loot. Make sure to loot them!
  • Some rooms will contain a "royal" miniboss, such as the Aktaari Princess and Aktaari Queen. Make sure you participate in these fights because these royal kills are necessary to complete the event quest, and they also drop good loot. These royals are also accompanied by Royal Guard enemies - they also drop good loot, so make sure to get them too!
  • At the end of the dungeon is a portal. DO NOT TAKE THE PORTAL!!. The portal is a trap. Instead, ignore the portal and follow the other players past it, to the final room with the final royal enemy.

Post-Egg Run Traditions and Customs

After the egg run is complete, it is customary for players to teleport back to the start room by logging out & then logging back in. It is then customary for players to link in chat any skill books and recipes they got during the run which they don't want to keep. If one player wants a book or recipe that another player links in chat, they send them a tell asking for it, and then trade the person one of their own skill books in exchange as a friendly gesture of fair trade. It is customary to wait a few minutes to see if anybody needs any of the books or recipes you linked, and then you can sell any unwanted ones to Cheb. Someone will usually summon a portal back to Red Wing Casino and the egg run is now complete!
