I've been very vocal about the cornucopia. The old one created fresh fruits and vegetables. So what's the point of farming, if magic can do it for us? But at least you had to cook the vegetables. So cooking was still useful. Baking, on the other hand, was ruined, because the cornucopia gave out fresh loaves on demand! Piping hot. It wasn't an amazing recipe, but it was good enough for most people.

Sure, a few hobbyists would make exotic bread for rich patrons, but most of the things a baker makes would be too complex for them. Tarts would simply never be made again and their knowledge would disappear from history.

IT took a ton of effort to get a bunch of farmers to agree on anything! If I'd been run out of business, the cornucopia would still be spitting out edible but uninspiring loaves. And the city would have no master baker. We would be an international laughingstock.

I know how this sounds, but this bug infestation was sabotage. And worse still, it was sabotage by a Chancellor -- Chancellor Vexford. So I have nowhere to turn. This won't be the end of it. He'll keep at it.

I've been very vocal about the cornucopia. The old one created fresh fruits and vegetables. So what's the point of farming, if magic can do it for us? But at least you had to cook the vegetables. So cooking was still useful. Baking, on the other hand, was ruined, because the cornucopia gave out fresh loaves on demand! Piping hot. It wasn't an amazing recipe, but it was good enough for most people.
