Hogan is the owner of the castle, referred in-game as Hogan's Keep. Hogan is a staff combat expert and is usually seen practicing his moves, when not talking to the visitors.
As hinted in the Stuff to Do panel, becoming friends with Hogan will allow you to visit the basement of the keep and his "guests" (Hint).

- Hogan's Request : Get two ancient bronze coins, two giant snail shells (any quality) and a nice piece of poetry (interestingly an Unidentified Poetry Book satisfies the quest requirements).

- Preventing a Predictable Problem : Kill 5 Gnasher Matriarchs. Note: as of writing the maps are not always aligned, so when Hogan says "west", the waterfall is actually east of his castle, on the minimap. Gnashers are dinosaur-like creatures.
