Thanks for the welcome! I'm about as new to Project Gorgon as you can get, and I'm enjoying learning about the game. I know little about the game right now and I've found the wiki helpful, and I try to contribute what I can in return. My general philosophy on editing wiki's has always been to make a few changes and learn from the people who have been around longer when they point out things, like when you and BetaNotus informed me about the way the wiki collects information directly from the game data. Eventually, I may learn enough to contribute more than a few changes, but I'll try not to cause too much headache for other editors in the process. I'll see if I figure out how to read the game data soon, but in the mean time, I'll try to focus more on "quality of life" wiki edits that make it easier people who use the wiki to find stuff. Maybe stuff like linking "categories of items" to NPC favor subsections like I did with Fainor. A change like that is possibly something that could be added to a template or bot run in the future, but I'm no where familiar enough with this wiki to attempt that at this time. I look forward to adventuring in PG, and see you around! [[User:Ransel|Ransel]] ([[User talk:Ransel|talk]]) 11:10, 29 May 2021 (EDT)

Purging

Hey, sorry, I just saw your note on my talk page. Were you able to get in touch with Beta? Going by the discussion on the Icon page, the devs are probably the only ones that could easily force the entire wiki to update. But the new logins for the wiki might mean the wiki API is working again - if it is, I think it's possible to write a script for mass purging. If it's needed. --Extractum11 (talk) 22:42, 26 March 2017 (CDT)

Thanks!

Hey, saw you filling in behind me on Magic Tooth and Enchanted Bear Claw. Thanks so much - I wasn't sure where to get these, but wanted to complete that before I moved on! Arindor (talk) 13:48, 16 April 2017 (CDT)

Hey, great job!

Not sure how long it's been up, but started playing again and found the vendor page. Fantastic resource! Excellent work! I added info I happened to take down while playing about spending limits to some vendors. (talk) 14:18, 30 May 2017 (CDT)

Icon change?

Do you know how to change an item icon? The icon used for sugar is wrong, it shows the icon for pixie sugar.

Where are you seeing that? On the Sugar page i see the incorrect icon displayed, but, for example on Fainor it displays correctly. Is there a particular place you're concerned about. As far as the Sugar page itself, it may require some update to Template:ItemT or Template:Item_icon. My internet connection is being a little slow today. I'll look into it when i get a chance, but we may need to enlist some help for this issue if it's a problem (probably beyond me).Alleryn (talk) 21:31, 21 April 2018 (EDT)
Well it wasn't as tough as i thought. I just looked up the icons in http://client.projectgorgon.com/v303/data/items.json and updated the value for sugar in Template:Item_icon. Let me know if there's still a problem somewhere, but that ought to fix Sugar, at least. (Though it may take a little time for the transclusion to filter through). There are lots of pages that used to display item stats like value via the ItemT template > Great_Animal_Skin. What's the replacement template now? --Caleon (talk) 11:11, 22 December 2019 (EST)

User:Tamiq is working on the bot for the new item template. You can probably get more info in the Gorgon's Head Discord wiki-request channel. User:BetaNotus showed me a preview of the new item template, and it looks amazing. Has a ton of new information and features. --Alleryn (talk) 11:19, 22 December 2019 (EST)
Here are the pages the bot will be implementing (i believe): Template:ITEM_infobox, Item_Template --Alleryn (talk) 11:23, 22 December 2019 (EST)
