If you preordered a deluxe version of the game that includes a custom title (such as the Kickstarter 'Duke' package, or similar packages from Indiegogo or the Gorgon Shop), that title is now available! (Assuming that you filled out the backer form to tell us what title you want... we are still waiting on those forms for dozens of people.)

All characters on your account will automatically receive the title when you log in. You can also give your unique title to other players if you want to. There are two ways: you can use the new chat command /entitle to give your title to a nearby player (e.g. type "/entitle Bob" in chat, without the quotes, to give a player named Bob your title). In addition, you can create scrolls that bestow your title on whoever reads one -- these can be sold or given away. You can create 5 of these scrolls every 7 days. Use the command "/redeem CustomTitleScrolls" to get a stack of 5 scrolls. (You can use the command "/redeem" without anything else to see if your 7 days are up: if it says you have no redemptions available, you still have to wait!)

NOTE: once given out, you cannot take the title away from someone. So take great care!

If you do NOT have a title and you think you should have a title, don't panic -- this is just the first pass, and there may be data errors or omissions. Just let us know and we'll straighten it out in the next game update!

Note: player-owned titles are colored yellow for now, but we are still deciding on colors, so that may change.

Many Special Behavior Badges will grant temporary titles for as long as you hold that badge.

Titles earned through Quests, Events, or Redemptions

Titles in this list are earned directly a character upon completion of a quest, an event, or the use of the Redeem command. These titles do not have in-game items associated with them.

Grizzled Geezer	- Distributed by Redeem on December 20, 2019 to accounts created prior to January 1, 2017.
Patient Hero	- Distributed by Redeem on December 20, 2019 to all characters.
Steamed 2021	- Distributed by Redeem between March 25, 2021 and April 30, 2021.
Animated	- Distributed by Redeem between March 25, 2021 and April 30, 2021.
Pennoc's Penitent	- Earn a total score of 145 or higher during a Pennoc's Pennant golf tournament.
Like A Boss	- Earned from completing the Attack of the World Bosses event.
A Little Fruity	- Earned from completing the Suspicious Lemons event in April 2021.
Civil Servant	- Complete Civil Service event.
Turkey Wrangler	- Earned while participating in the Turkey Hunt event quest Event: Gobblejack the Rebuker.
Alpha Tester	- Distributed to all players who logged in between the December 3, 2017 and March 13, 2018 Game Update
Pre-Alpha Survivor	- Distributed to all players who logged in between the December 3, 2017 and March 13, 2018 Game Update , if their character was created earlier than 2015.
Elf Helper	- During Halloween, complete the quest Halloween Event: The Elven Medicine. You may also need to provide Westley with the funds he requests.
Cultist of Zhia Lian	- Source
Heart Beater	- During Halloween, defeat the fiveEnvy Pumps and complete the quest Halloween Event: Kill the Fifth Evil Heart.
Riiiiiiiiiii	- During Halloween, complete the quest
Party Cultist 2019	- During Halloween, attend one of the parties. (2019 only)
Party Cultist 2020	- During Halloween, attend one of the parties. (2020 only)
Party Cultist 2021	- During Halloween, attend one of the parties. (2021 only)

Titles earned from Scrolls

Often-Obtainable Titles from Scrolls

Titles in this list are obtainable in scroll form, but are not player or developer-bestowed. These titles are often obtainable through bartering or the completion of quests.

Player or Developer Bestowed Titles

Titles displayed in this list are either distributed by developers, or rewards granted to players for backing the game. Player-owned titles can be directly bestowed on other characters by the owner of the title, or title scrolls can be created for trading or selling. While many players choose to keep their title to themselves, others have found profit selling them in the Serbule and Red Wing Casino marketplaces.

Please do not list the names of players who can grant a title on the wiki, unless they approve their inclusion
