“Sorry, the shop isn't open today. See, I only trade in weapons. Not armor. Fuck armor! The smiths here mostly like to make armor, so until the town is busier, there's just not enough business.

“I knew the traitor personally! Tumak was mated to my sister Kimeta. She believed in him even unto death. Poor thing.
I meant 'poor Kimeta,' not 'poor Tumak.' Fuck Tumak!— Gerrux
“Back before the poisoning, my sister ray an alchemy shop. Afterwards, Justin Fargold changed his art gallery into an alchemy shop! Humans are cruel in business.
But ultimately it was humorous, because there's no town left to sell anything to. He can run whatever kind of shop he likes and it won't change that.— Gerrux
“Why do weapons have to be ugly, anyway? They don't! I fix up ugly weapons in my spare time. I don't even charge much extra for it.— Gerrux
“Kimeta was so angry after we -- after the town executed her mate. She refused to believe Tumak would betray us.
At the time, I was only mostly sure he was guilty... but recently I've actually seen his fucking ghost wandering around lamenting his actions.
Human laws say that repeated ghostly lamentations are admissions of guilt, and I have to agree!— Gerrux
“Justin Fargold was here yesterday and said that my artistic weapon improvements were 'gods-curslingly awful.' I think they're pretty, and it's my shop, so fuck Justin!
...Though I have to admit, the bedazzling doesn't seem to help my weapons sell. Maybe I should be a bit more subtle with my art?— Gerrux
Conversation after gifting a key.
“
- What is this? It's a slime key! Wait, where did you get this?
- A ghost gave it to me. She said she left 'everything' to her brother. And I think that's you.
- You... she did? Well, the only thing of hers I still have is her stupid magic box. I hid it when they were hunting for her. But without the key, it's just a memento of my sister. It's been cursed so if anyone tries to open it without the key, everything inside shatters!
- And this is the key. Except not really.
- Do you know where the real key is?
- I do. Kimeta gave it to me just before she was killed, and told me to throw it into the river. Which I did. I didn't realize what I was throwing away at the time.
- I used to think I was doing her a favor, but now I realize she was punishing me for siding with the others.
- So... the key is lost?
- It is definitely lost. But some lost things are found again, right?
- Hey, I've heard of a friendly ranalon trader who collects river treasures. Maybe if you found them, they'd know more.
- that's not much to go on, but I'll see what I can do. Bye.
