Hogan is the owner of the castle, referred in-game as Hogan's Keep. Hogan is a staff combat expert and is usually seen practicing his moves, when not talking to the visitors.

As hinted in the Stuff to Do panel, becoming close friends with Hogan will allow you to visit the basement of the keep and his "guests" (Hint).
