==Outcomes==
 
 
 
The outcome of an augury depends on the corpse trophy used, and some effects are more likely to happen. In general, all items have a chance to give ''Normal Day'' or ''Unpleasant Day'' (the Max Armor modifier). Soothsaying is not a skill, but a group of abilities in the Lore skill based around the viewing of Auguries. An adventurer can learn the four augury recipes (Beginner's, Basic, Advanced and Expert Augury) from Ashk the Answerer. Ashk will teach Augury abilities with appropriate favor, and after you complete some favor quests for him. You must have either Meditation or Shamanic Infusion at level 50 before you may learn these abilities.

Each Augury recipe gives a one hour buff and a new Augury can be divulged every hour. The buff effect can be positive or negative depending on the foreseen outcome, and the level of Augury used. Not every effect is available as a result of each recipe.


Augury is taught by Ashk in Rahu. The skill requires either Meditation at 50 or Shamanic Infusion at 50 to unlock.

Beginner's Augury List

- Omens suggest you will not die soon. The first time you die in any 15-minute period, you will instead avoid death.
- Omens suggest you may die soon. -10% Max Health.
- Omens suggest you may find great treasures. 7% chance for non-magical loot items to be Exceptional instead.
- Omens suggest you will not find great treasures soon. 8% chance for magical loot items to be non-magical instead.
- Omens suggest you will learn great things while fighting monsters. +4% Earned Combat XP.
- Omens suggest you will be too distracted to learn much from fighting. -4% Earned Combat XP.
- Omens indicate that you are especially focused today. +20 Max Power.
- Omens indicate that you are not very focused today. -20 Max Power.
- Omens suggest that you will find the enemy's weak spots with ease. 5% of your attacks deal +50% damage.
- Omens suggest that you will be inaccurate and clumsy in combat. 5% of your attacks deal -50% damage.
