Tyler Green can be found in the advanced area of the Tutorial Cave.

Quests
- The Battered Shield : Tyler repairs the Battered Shield and returns it to you. He also teaches how to repair armor (although by the time you have returned to the cave and defeated the Megaspider chances are you've already learned to use Simple Armor Patch Kits). He also hints that he could teach you to fight with a shield. Giving Tyler back the Battered Shield (the 'legacy' version) earns a good chunk of favor.
- Oranges : Tyler wants oranges to cure his scurvy!
- Give Lawara Confidence [Comfortable] : Tyler wants you to go talk to Lawara, an elf in the same cave.
Training
- Shield Mastery
- At Friends. Give him Cyan, Yellow or Purple shields for the better results. While such shields are not easy to come across for a new player, you don't need to gift too many of them, about 10 to 15. One way to get such shields if you can't loot them yourself is to buy them from NPCs' "Used" inventory. Special shields are pricey but you can get some for as low as ~800 gold.
