“Make yourself comfortable in my courtyard.
So this is your keep?
This place was constructed a decade ago as a guardhouse, where Council soldiers would patrol the trade route from here to Gazluk. Of course, that trade route is unlikely to exist now. I was given permission to live here and perhaps found a monastery. In exchange, I keep the monster population in check.
Hogan is the owner of the castle, referred in-game as Hogan's Keep. Hogan is a staff combat expert and is usually seen practicing his moves, when not talking to the visitors.

As hinted in the Stuff to Do panel, becoming [Close Friends] with Hogan will allow you to visit the basement of the keep and meet his "guests." Exhausting Hogan's dialog options regarding his keep will get him to give you access.

- Patrol around the fortress for dangerous monsters (2h)

“Oh, don't you start with me! Hogan hasn't killed a single damned Tor-Urak in months! If it's not right outside his castle gate, he doesn't give a crap about it. I work my ass off, and he has the gall to suggest...
Sorry, kid. I don't mean to get you mixed up in this. I'll take it up with him tomorrow.

Conversations
“I'm no fan of Council bureaucrats, but they did manage to conditionally deed this place to me. Most abandoned outposts get stuck in paperwork limbo. Like the old Eltibule Keep: nobody truly owns it. I understand an elf has arrived recently to claim it. We shall see what the Council does about that!
— Hogan
“Decades ago, Dwarves built tunnels all through the countryside, then vanished. Now goblins live in those tunnels. I detest goblin slavery, but not all goblins are slavers. I try to avoid killing them if they avoid enslaving people.
