A tool used with the Phrenology skill.

An understanding of how sentient creatures think and feel, based on careful study of the shape of their skulls. This base skill represents your overall Phrenological prowess.

Phrenology is a skill that is taught by Glajur in Kur Tower after reaching Comfortable favor with him. Phrenology skills provide critical-hit chances to all Psychology and Mentalism attacks against the corresponding type of creature. Phrenology also has "more esoteric uses" according to the in-game skill panel (to be documented).

The skill involves studying skulls from various humanoid creatures. Skulls are acquired by using the option "Extract skull" on a slain creature. Similarly to butchering and skinning skills, a tool is required in the inventory. The first tool, called a Skull Extractor is received from Glajur at Comfortable favor, or can be bought from him.

Skulls come in a variety of shapes, based on the races of Alharth, such as Human, Elf, Orc and Rakshasa. There are also "impressive" versions of the skulls which are worth more favor with Glajur. Note that skulls can be found before this skill is acquired. They are sometimes looted from skeletons and jars in Eltibule Crypt, and in Kur Tower.

Recipes

Once skulls are acquired, the research recipes are used to raise the skill. Each recipe requires a skill and a Craniometer (bought from Glajur).
