NOTE! Necromancy is currently obtained from a scroll called [[Symbols of Darkness]], which drops from [[Khyrulek's True Form]] on the second level of the Serbule Crypt. After getting the scroll you run into the next room where you find a [[Pulsing Crystal]] that you give scroll to for Necromancy skill. To solo your way there you have to get past the boss [[Khyrulek]] and her two Rhino bodyguards. Your best chance as a new player and even with level 30-ish skills... is to ask on global chat for a ride. Sometimes people offer a ride when they themselves go grab the skill these are known as crypt runs.

Necromancy is control over the undead, along with other powers that trifle with mortality. To use necromantic abilities, you must be wielding or wearing a necromancy gem. You can often find these on weapons, and less often on pieces of armor. (If you are in a beast form, necromancy gems in weapons won't work, but ones in armor will.)

Necromancy is a skill that utilizes darkness and death to create servants as well as deal damage and steal the life-force of enemies. It is also required for the skill of Corpse Talking.

To use necromantic abilities, you must be wielding or wearing an item that has the modifier "Enables Necromantic Abilities" known ingame as a "Necromancy Gem" on it. These are found on weapons, armour and actual offhand Necromancy Orbs used for this skill.

The skill makes heavy use of bones. Femurs can be acquired easily from most skeletons, through bonuses in use of the butchering skill, recovered from graves (See Corpse Talking) and Burial Urns. (In the future, Necromancers will have additional ways to get more bones.)<--(unknown if my addition here is said methods.)

You can only raise Skeleton Minions within graveyards. If you want to raise skeletons elsewhere, you'll need to make or find your own makeshift dynamic graveyard. Any location with three player tombstones in close proximity will allow you to raise Skeletons.
